Id like to start with that I have their knee guards as well and reviewed them and this review I will include why I bought these. I bought these after a recent mtb road trip where I was stupidly (I guess) going down unfamiliar trails and lost the front end entering a corner, no pads on I slammed on my side pretty good and got some decent dirt rash on my left side, this left me a bit sore for the rest of the day and the next and made me contemplate why I don't wear pads. I previously had not been using pads for several reasons and one of those reasons are the fact that I feel they restrict my movement and may cause me to crash and or they don't stay in place and distract me. Like the knee guards my measurements for my arm are right at their maximum measurements for the elbow guards, I purchased a large and they fit great. I don't even know I am wearing them other then the fact that at first at least I noticed they do raise your body temp a bit but the trade off is worth it plus they look very nice as well.
Great pads, very comfortable. I wear them over my wool shirt and honestly forget they are on until I get back to the car after my ride. They are a bit of a struggle to get on over the long-sleeves and you have to wrestle the sleeve of the shirt down a bit, but that's really just a tiny squabble. Can't say how they feel on bare arms or how hot they will feel in the summer. Also haven't taken a hit with them yet, but again, super comfortable
