The Absolute Black Spiderless BB30 Direct Mount Oval Ring is a simple step toward significantly augmenting your ride, through its' lightweight, stiff construct, and clean good-looks. Is oval shape promotes optimal power transfer by maximizing the section of the stroke where power is produced, and minimizing resistance where it isn't. To put it simply, oval rings provide you with a few more teeth in the stronger part of the pedal cycle, and take away a few teeth in the weaker section. For example, a 32t is equivalent to 30t at deadspot and 34t at the power zone. This results in a more efficient pedal stroke and more tire traction in the rear. The Spiderless BB30 Oval Ring has the famous narrow-wide tooth profile that retains the chain snugly, allowing you to end things with your bulky chainguide.
