I wanted some wider bars for my 29er hardtail. The Protaper DH are the perfect bars for slaying trails. Sweep and uprise are very comfortable. Hashmarks are easy to read if you want to cut them down from a full DH bar.

First time i've owned 780mm bars. Perfect width for me, I think anything under 750mm is too short for DH.

I ride an enduro with these bars and they are awesome, they look great and are very comfortable to ride with, they dont feel awkward like some bars ive ridden with. They are deffinately strong i have flipped twice clipping a rock and a tree not a scratch on the bars, and they didnt bend at all.

This is my second set of bars, first set I cut down to 29.5 inches on my Hardtail. This bar I am keeping at full length on my 6.7" travel all-mountain bike. Very strong bar. It has a very comfortable bend and sweep. Only complaint was my first bar scratched fairly easily but not a real performance issue. still 5 stars in my book.

Seems that every second rider has a Race Face Atlas bar, when I was purchasing a new bar I wanted something a bit different and this was a very good choice. I went for the gold color which looks really cool. The bar although being 780mm wide is extremely light and the sweep it has feels very natural. I really like the feel of the width, makes me feel a bit more confident when riding fast, sometimes trying to fit through trees can be tricky so it's something I need to get used to but overall I am happy with the width and the feel of the bar. I would recommend this product.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I bought these bars to replace my Easton Havoc DH's, and after a season of having them bolted to my downhill sled, I really have nothing bad to say about them. The protaper gimmick really isn't a gimmick, as the reduced thickness makes for a bar that takes the edge out of sharp bumps, ie. braking bumps while still reataining all the stiffness you could ask for. The anodizing has held up to a punishing BC riding season that has pretty much included any component munching conditions you could imagine. Overall a great investment for any aggresive riding discipline.
