This kit comes complete with everything you need. The directions are clear (watch the videos also). The biggest problem with this setup is the tubing that leaks air past the barbed connectors. They need to fit tighter. The syringes are a little awkward to use also. Avid could step up the quality by using an automotive style bleeder that won't leak air (ie: "Mityvac" style pump). Degassing and subsequent bleed would be more consistent, reliable, and faster. If you have patience, this kit will be adequate.

The brake bleed set worked as advertised. It took me about an hour fifteen to complete. The instructions were easy to follow, however I watched a few vids (youtube, etc) before starting. The bleed set came complete with everything needed. As long as you don't rush and follow the directions, it's pretty easy. It does get a little messy, especially trying to get the bleed plug installed while not letting the fluid leak out.

I have two sets of Avid Elixir brakes, so naturally I picked up the avid bleed kit. Everything works great. It was nice to have everything you needed to bleed your brakes in one small box. I've bled my brakes several times and this unit has worked flawlessly.

This kit is pretty much a necessary purchase if you own Avid brakes. I tried to come up with work arounds, but they didn't really work as well. This kit makes bleeding my Avid Elixir CR's pretty easy. It'd be nice if they were priced a bit lower, but the materials seem quality so I don't think they'll break or wear out anytime soon.

It took me a long time to get a proper bleed because if I would tilt the syringe slightly in the wrong direction, air would come in through the spots where the hose was mounted on the barbed nipple thing. To fix this problem, I used a cable tie gun and put cable ties TIGHTLY on the fittings at both ends of the small hose. Now they work like a charm without leaking air.
