These genuine Avid brand pads are so easy to install and replace, you only need caveman tools - your fingers. Fits Avid BB7 mechanical disc brakes, plus Avid Juicy Seven and Five hydraulic disc brakes.
This item includes pads for one brake. Order two of this item if you need enough pads for a complete bike. These are the B-4 pads. Does include the H springs.

These break pads work great after minimal break in time. I run them in BB7 calipers with 160mm & 180mm rotors. I ride some steep downhill terrain that pushes the limits of my bike setup, but these pads have always provided more stopping power than my tires had traction. They also seem to wear exceptionally well, but that might be due to the fact that I only use them once at the end of every ride...

I've used the Avid BB7 mechanical for over three years now & have been satisfied using these pads. The setup was both the stock 160mm rotor & 185mm rotor. Even in pouring rain the 160mm plus these Avid pads stop the bike with great modulation. Now I have one installed for the front for my trials bike which stops like a dream. Occasionally dirt and oil may require you to clean them by either soaking the pads in alcohol & sanding a thin layer. In either case, the pads last a long time and the break-in period is fast! (Just pour water on the rotor, go down the hill and brake hard couple times)

These pads are pretty nice, there isn't much to set them apart from most other quality pads, except for the fact that they run surprisingly quiet when mated with a hayes rotor.
