Just came back from a ride where I had a short and slow tumble. Picked the bike up and noticed that this lever was slightly bent near the pivot where the material is narrow-er. Bent it back and rode out. Never a worry until today. Doesn't need replacement.

Comments about Avid Speed Dial 7 Levers:

I'm using these levers with an Avid BB7 disc and SD7 V-brake in the rear and these levers are just perfect. As long as you use quality cables and housing these levers feel just as good as most hydraulic brakes.

Comments about Avid Speed Dial 7 Levers:

Bought for my 10 yr. old sons 26" mountain bike. Used with cable disc brakes. I really like all of the adjustment on these levers. I made the reach shorter for his smaller hands. The leverage can be adjusted, I made the front brake have less leverage so he does not grab too much front brake. Great levers and nice price.

I've never had a brake lever with a variable mechanical advantage. Nice idea, and a nice lever. Wish they came in plain silver. the dark color is not that attractive, and when it gets beat up, it will look worse than plain silver would.

Comments about Avid Speed Dial 7 Levers:

These are very good brake levers at a good price point. After switching to these, I noticed a better feel in the lever and the ability to regulate the brake pressure. I like that they are very minimalistic in design and do not clutter the bars on my single speed. The dial-in lever to adjust the cable tension is a neat feature but I have not had to use it. Also, there is a screw to change the position of the brake lever in relation to the handlebars, making it closer with less reset. I just left it where it was normal, but this feature is cool to have.
