Prices shown in currencies other than USA Dollars are estimates based on current exchange rates. We will charge your credit card in USA Dollars on the day your order is shipped, and the conversion to your local currency will be done at the prevailing rate by your credit card issuer.
Shipments outside the USA are declared as “bike parts” for customs purposes and will include the actual amount paid for merchandise and shipping. Jenson USA will not mark your parcel as a “gift”, declare a value lower than the actual price paid, or otherwise prepare false customs information.
We can easily sum up the Banshee Phantom as a short travel 29er that’s built for lycra-wearing cross country speedsters. However, this wouldn't be an accurate summary. Stiff, strong, and aggressive enough to turn the heads of hard-nosed all-mountain and trail riders, the Phantom is so much more.
By combining a short 105mm travel platform with the stiff frame and a low, slack geometry, you get a 29 inch bike that doesn’t believe in labels or assumptions. Most bikes within this travel range usually feature a steeper geometry and a flexier tube set that simply doesn’t inspire the confidence needed to fly down technical descents. The Phantom on the other hand sees things a little differently.
Banshee specifically went with 105mm of travel to bring the bike alive and connect the rider directly with the trail, without being totally rigid. Bikes can often have too much suspension which can sort of cloud the ride experience and spoil us as riders. Less travel breaks down the safety net and forces us to get to know the trail on a personal level by testing our skills and grit. Additionally, shorter travel equates to a more responsive acceleration and a better climbing platform.
Let us not forget that the Phantom’s stiffness is the secret to new levels of confidence. The stiffer ride permits improved control, allowing you to hold a tighter line and blast through corners. Combine the Phantom’s benchmark stiffness with its slack head angle, and you’ve got a recipe for becoming a true bad ass on the trail. You’ll love every minute of it.
