Bell Sweep Helmet 2012

Already one of the most popular and winning helmets on both the road and mountain bike circuits, the Sweep now features Bells Twin Axis Gear (TAG) fit system. With 20 functional vents actively channeling airflow over the head and out the rear, a feathery curb weight and a bevy of top-level features, its easy to see why the Sweep is a racer favorite. Excellent Helmet
I LOVE this helmet. This is by far the most comfortable helmet I've ever purchased. The vents are placed very well. It feels like the air comes in through the front, and sweeps (no pun intended) the hot air off your head and out of the back. The pads are super comfortable. On most helmets I get a pressure spot, but not so with the Sweep. It's also really lightweight, which is nice for long rides. I wear it for XC riding and even when I ride my road bike. It's a little expensive, but its definitely worth it.

PROS: Comfortable, Fit, Well Ventilated

BEST USES: Cross country, all mountain

Airy, durable, light, comfortable
An excellent helmet. Well ventilated and comfortable.

It's not the most low profile thing on the market, but it works.

From blistering hot days in the saddle to freezing cold winter races, this helmet has just plain worked.

PROS: Light, Durable, Comfortable

CONS: bulky

BEST USES: Cyclocross, Mountain, Road

Fits well enough, but not the greatest
I use this for road and mountain biking, and while the helmet seems to fit just fine, after extended use (2+ hours) I can begin to feel the pads start to wear in on my head. The pads are a little too small for me, and they don't provide enough cushion between my head and the stiff styrofoam shell.

I've had better luck with the Bell Volt. The padding might be the same, but I believe the shape of the inside of the shell is done better and makes for a more solid feeling fit.

The helmet may work for some, and may not work for some others. I believe this is true of all helmets/saddle/shoes, etc.

PROS: Easy to adjust, Looks good, Good Ventilation, Sturdy

CONS: Stiff Pads

nice helmet but pricey
This is a nice helmet, works great, light, and I stay cool while riding in hot SC summers. However, my last helmet (Bell influx) had all these same qualities at $45.

PROS: Light, I Stay Cool, Easy adjusting straps

CONS: 2x Price Of Comparables
