I bought these along with the Formas, both in size large, while both were on sale.
The Formas use more rigid material, which is slightly less stretchy and comfortable, and the Formas also fit much slimmer, which means for a more thickly built rider (I'm 5'10" and 195 lbs, usually 34" in the waist in jeans) they're a bit of a squeeze.
For me, the extra few bucks for the Chronos shorts is well worth it - they're comfortable to the point of forgetting they're cycling shorts. If my body type was a bit more bean-pole, I might find the Forma shorts a better fit overall though - as other reviewers seem to have done.

The chamois has grooves in it. As the material bends to the contour of your body, the grooves trap & pinch the scrotum area. I would have been more comfortable riding nekid.

Comments about Bellwether Chronos Shorts 2011:
I especially like the fit. The legs are not too tight, like most biking shorts on me, but somehow they stay in place even when I use them on more technical singletrack. Walking in them you definately notice the padding, but riding in them is very comfortable.

I couldn't pass on the price of these shorts. They have been on a few 60+ mile rides and feel great.

Comments about Bellwether Chronos Shorts 2011:
The price was great so I took a chance. After one ride of 25 miles, I ordered another pair. Great pad and doesn't chafe. Doesn't have any pockets and the waist band is for comfort, not for holding the shorts up.

Great quality feel to these shorts and fit just right. Clearly a road short though could be used underneath bibs for the winter on MTB

Very good for the money when you get them on sale for 50% or more off. One of the best short for the past 20 odd years.

These shorts are great in warm weather and are light enough that you can wear them under regular shorts if need be. A very comfortable fit. They shed sweat well and look good.

Comments about Bellwether Chronos Shorts 2011:
I bought two of these shorts while they were on sale. They are quite nice. As one reviewer mentioned, they are a little short on the leg, but that doesn't really bother me too much. They fit well and the padding stays in place.
On a long ride (6+ hours), I did get some chafing at the seams around the chamois, which I never experienced with my favorite shorts (Louis Garneau Fit Sensors).
The mediums fit me well at 175 lbs. I wear a size 32 in Levi jeans, for reference.

Comments about Bellwether Chronos Shorts 2011:
I picked up a couple pairs of these because of the price and because I like Bellwether products. These did not disappoint. The sizing is spot on and they are the most comfy bike shorts I have ever worn. I am very tempted to purchase two more. They are that nice.
