Nicest tire I have owned. Perfect for 6-7" AM bike for those who ride to the top but like to shred rocky terrain. I bought the non-UST but worked great tubless with a little stans. Burped once on steep down at whistler, pumped it up and no problems since. They have super high profile allowing for low pressure riding and compliance over rough terrain. It is probably close to 27.5 wheel OD.

The 2.4 is probably too big for regular trail riding. I may order the 2.2 for my blur. They are a little slow compared to my X-king, but that is no surprise. Way more traction though.

Highly recommended for aggressive AM. Perfect match for my nomad.

Paid the big bucks for this tire because it was high volume, lightish, great tread, and tubeless ready. The tires took some extra effort to hold air, with stans. After running the tires around 27 psi i ripped a tear on the sidewall from the tire folding over and pinching. That tire won't hold air tubeless anymore. Then i hit a loose corner really fast and stretched the side wall, making the tire wobbly and uneven. Beware of low psi and sidewall issues.

Love this tire. It rolls fast and corners well. It's pretty tough, will take some bigger hits. I'm on my second set

Comments about Continental Trail King Protection 26":

This is the 3rd. trail king I've purchased. Now on all 3 of my mountain bikes. Great traction, puncture proof, & very supportive sidewalls allowing crazy low air pressure. Seem to last much better than similar kendas I generally run as well.

Comments about Continental Trail King Protection 26":

I have used this tire on my 29er's as a front for along time now. This one is no different than the 29er's. It holds lines in corners really well, for me, and gives me lots of bite in other situations.

The only setback is the cost of these things. Yet, the great thing is that Jenson always has a good price on things they sell.

Comments about Continental Trail King Protection 26":

I came from a Spec. Purgatory tire which is a very good tire. This tire seems to have as good of traction and the sidewalls are stiffer due to the Protection system. This is a very good tire so far, ~4 rides. It took some time to seal well at the bead but otherwise installed well. Good price and delivery by Jenson

I've had this tire for about two months, have run it on around 100 miles of singletrack on the east coast and it still has the hairs on the knobs! I put the 2.4 up front with a 2.4 Mountain King in the back on my Blur LT- sick combo! It's a pretty voluminous tire, so make sure you can fit up to a 2.5.

heavy but worth it for aggressive riding. black chili does real well on wet rocks. Set up ghetto tubeless was pretty easy. I run about 25 psi which seems to do good.

Great Tires. I have this on the front of my Ibis SL. Great for Utah when the trails are not muddy. Good for tubeless. I haven't had any issues. Also good to 25 psi, if you want it that low.
