For $14.99 I couldn't resist tryng these tires. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and weight. The true weight for the 29" tire is closer to 750 grams, but that is still less than an Ardent 2.4. These tires are just as voluminous and have a very similar tread, although the Duros have more open knobs. GREAT traction in loose rocky terrain, rolling resistance is a bit slow, but these are really not designed for smooth hard pack riding. A really good tire for western Colorado trail riding. The performance and price were so good I bought 4 more. Sealed up tubeless with Stan's without a problem. HIGHLY recommended for good tough grippy all around trail tire.

At first glimpse this seemed a great value, which it is. It has a mean aggressive stagger which says it can eat dirt for breakfast. Tire mounted perfect. The downfall of this tire was the rolling weight. The inertia this tire took to propel over climbs was immense and therefor tiring to say the least. It did not corner well at all, as the rear tire seemed to slide a lot.. I proved a point to my self, wider knarlier tires does not mean better by any means.

Comments about Duro Switch 29" Tire:

Tires hold up well for everyday riding. They are not as large as I would have liked for a 2.35 but do work well with a 120mm travel bike. I ride extremely rocky trails in the Phoenix area and sidewall protection has been fine so far. I am running about 22 lbs tubeless and have had no issues on trail, but when the bike sits for a period time the tires go flat. I would not use as a race tire, a little knobby and heavy for that.

Comments about Duro Switch 29" Tire:

I ride strictly on the trails, this tire out performed my explanations, because of how cheap the price is. I have ridden these tires. In wet, rocky, rootey and hard pack conditions and they have performed flausly. I was so impressed with the tires I ordered 2 more for when these finally wear out.

Comments about Duro Switch 29" Tire:

I had guarded optimism about these when I ordered because of the price. Was pleasantly surprised when they arrived. Installed them immediately on my RIP Niner and hit the trails. The trails were a mix of Dry, wet, slippery and challenging, typical winter riding. These tires preformed flawlessly, on climbs, descents and cornering. Only con was rolling résistance kind of slow, but not enough for me to not give these 5 stars. Like them so much I'm ordering another pair of them.

Comments about Duro Switch 29" Tire:

I bought this tire to replace the stock tire on my fuel ex8. At 14.99 it's comparable to much much more expensive brands. It has a soft feel and grips well on the hard pack trails we have here in South Korea. I don't notice the added weight much and it has taken me down gnarly rock gardens and everything else I have encountered without issues. Best bang for your buck you can find. I could not get it to set up tubeless, but I have heard of other people having no issues.

Comments about Duro Switch 29" Tire:

I'm a casual cyclist. I ride as much on the paved trail or street as much or more than the dirt for now. But I prefer a Mtn bike over a hybrid or cruiser because I like the large 29 sizes & the stability. I put these on my Cannondale 29er Trail SS Rigid and I really like them. Other than the obvious rolling resistance with the big aggressive size, They grip well for my application and they mounted up nice & easy & true. Plus the FAT size looks incredible on my bike. Take my comments for what they are, but the price is real good.

Comments about Duro Switch 29" Tire:

For the money, this is a great tire! I got 2 to try because you can't beat the price. I mounted them tubeless onto stans flow ex rims without issue. Traction is good here in the Phoenix AZ area. The sidewalls are pretty darn tough as i tried to hurt them but could not. They are wearing fast, after 500 miles the center knobs were pretty wore down revealing a bubble gum like grain structure in the rubber, but no major chunks have been ripped off and all the knobs are intact. My only issue i have had is a few days ago the tire went flat overnight so i added more stans and pumped it up with an air compressor. I did not check the pressure, but it was over-full to let the stans do its thing. The next day i had forgot about the high pressure and set out to ride. I went about 5 feet when BBOOOOOMMMMM the rear tire in question blew itself off the rim. HMmmmm.... now i know this tire is not made to be tubeless, but it had worked awesome for many many hard miles. There was no damage to the tire or the rim. I stuck a tube in and went for my ride without issue. Take it for what you will. All in all an awesome tire for the money. traction wise i would say it holds it own with the ardent (in the phoenix area). I give 4 stars as compared to the price. I would give 3 stars if it were a more expensive tire because of the wear issue.

Comments about Duro Switch 29" Tire:

This tire is just near perfect, bought it as an upgrade for the front wheel and is simply the best upgrade i done so far,i immediately noticed what an improvment on turns it made.So far i tested it on dry and sandy soil and wet roots here in Georgia, and it simply shines, particullary on wet soil,i been able to run it @ 25 psi with tubes with no problems. Not a fast nor slow rolling, its just the right amount of rolling resistance.
