I ride to campus alot on my MTB was was just in the market for some all purpose low rolling tires when this 26"x1.95" miracle happened. I first found them practically rusted to the frame of this old abandoned Schwinn cruiser behind my apartment (imagine angels singing as I swapped out my stock knobbies and held up the new(er) additions). The first ride was amazing: fast, quiet, even after eons of hardening and neglect they still stuck like 3 day old macaroni. The years in a ditch hadn't been kind though and the beads eventually broke loose. I called Kenda up and begged for a new pair but saddly they informed me, they didn't make them anymore. I moved on, settled for "acceptable" tires, when, one day, BAM they showed up on Jenson. The angels were back!!! Buy these, as many as you can, put them on everybike you own and then buy more, you won't regret it! They can take you anywhere.

After a winter completely devoid of flats and very few the following year, I was pleased with this purchase. However, I have had an inordinate amount already this spring, despite that there is still much tread remaining. I plan to try some kevlar liners to mitigate this, but next time I'd opt for a higher upfront cost in the hopes of fewer roadside repair headaches.

Comments about Kenda K841A Komfort Tire:

Got these tires to put on my mountain bike for commuting now that the snow and ice has melted. Very smooth ride, really grips the pavement in turns and curves. Can't go wrong with these at the price.

          • Hardpack

Comments about Kenda K841A Komfort Tire:

These are great for riding hardpack, crusher dust and rail trails. I used a set of these on a 300km rail trail tour and had now problems at all. The roll well on pavement as well. They aren't the lightest tire but they have thick sidewalls and the tred compound lasts a long time.
