I did not realize...
I did not realize how much a tire like this will improve my riding experience. I'm not sure how it compares to other 26" street tires, but it sure seems to work well. I've never had the sensation of losing traction with this tire, though I've often had the sense that with these, I can achieve much higher speeds with less effort.

best urban tire I can find
I'm put a lot of miles through the city on these so far. From asphalt to alleys the traction vs rolling resistance is about as good as it gets. Unless you ride real off road, ditch those mountion tires on the cummuter/ recreation bike. You'll get so much more enjoyment and distance out of the ride

Great tire
I ride hard surface overall but wanted a better tire than I used in the past.Being all smooth and a 1.50 width.Which is less effort only on hard surface.Which is exactly why this time I went with this tire.Along in the fact Michelin is well known for top quality tires. You wont go wrong as they didn't building this excellent tire.It rides the smoothest of all tires Ive used in my life.Im 57 years old and owned bicycles my entire life. The other thing about this tire, that sets it apart from the others.Happens to be its wide latitude for air pressure! Being from 32-71 PSI which again enables this tire for best of both worlds.Last are its good looks. You wont go wrong with this tire.

I have only logged a short amount of mileage on these tires, but coming from the OEM knobby tires that these replace, it made a huge difference in the overall ride quality and rolling noise level. I ride almost exclusively on concrete paths and city sidewalks, where this tire excels. I have rolled over a good share of gravel and decent lengths of uneven grassy areas, and no flats so far. I also paired these with Michelin's Butyl AirStop tubes.

Speed up your MTB for cheap!
The Country Rock is reasonably priced and rolls very smoothly and corners fast. These are great on the road but just don't expect to do any off-roading other than on gravel or packed dirt.

If you couple these with a tire liner then you can have some flat protection too! These worked so well for me I purchased a set for my girlfriend's bike.

BEST USES: Casual riding, Commuting

Rides great!
Tire seems a little thin. I had a small front end collision and the tire tore. But overall, I really like this tire. It rides great for the purposes I bought it - Urban commuting.

PROS: Great price, Rides Great

CONS: Somewhat thin

Great commuter tire
Put these on an old mtb > singlespeed commuter rebuild. They're fantastic on the road and do pretty well on hard packed dirt. Not tried them on gravel yet. Excellent for the money.

Greatest tire ever
These are the best tires ever for mountain bike commuting. I am on my 3rd set and have purchased a new set every two years for the past 6 years. I will not buy anything different because these are perfect for street riding, and they will also handle off road. Do yourself a favor and get a set.

Durable Tires
I've put about 2,000 miles on these and there is still tread left. I commute mostly on paved rail trail and some road. I just had my first flat a few weeks ago. A small piece of glass had worked it's way through to the tube. When I looked over the rest of the tire I found additional glass, a little piece of wire, and rocks also stuck in the tread. I don't know how long it had all been in there, but the fact that only one thing made it through made me feel good about these tires. They roll fairly fast for a 1.75-inch width, too. I run them at about 60 psi on pavement, and would drop them to about 50 for gravel.

PROS: Durable

BEST USES: Road Biking, Casual Riding
