Comments about Blackburn Fire Trail MTB Saddle:

I took a chance on this saddle because of its dirt-cheap sale price, and because it looked a lot like a WTB saddle (the channel, and the flat-looking profile, in the rear), which are one of the few saddles that work for me.

It turns out to be a similar as it looks. Thick but firm padding, flat profile when viewed from the rear. Dimensions are 140mm x 190mm.

I've only taken a few short rides on it, but I have no doubt it will be fine for long-distance riding, just by the feel of it.

The only downside is that it's heavier than I'd like, at 405 grams. It appears to be built to last for many years.

Comments about Blackburn Fire Trail MTB Saddle:

I have a hard time finding a saddle that works. Usually, I end up with a WTB, because they have relatively thick but firm padding, and a flat profile, when looking at them from the rear.

I noticed this Blackburn saddle looked very similar to the WTB design, so decided to take a chance on it. What the heck, for the price offered by J-USA, no great loss if it didn't work.

It turns out to be as similar in feel to the WTBs as it looks. Very comfortable for me, and appears to be made to last many years.

The only downside is that it's heavier than I'd like, at 405 grams on my digital scale. Dimensions are 140mm x 290mm.

Comments about Blackburn Fire Trail MTB Saddle:

I replaced the original Specialized seat on my MTB with the Fire Trail. It is much more comfortable and forgiving than the original. Biker by default with "new hip"
