Box Two 11-46 Tooth 11 Speed Cassette

Expertly crafted out of hi-tensile steel and 7075-T6 aluminum, the Box Two™ 11-46 cassette puts the steepest climbs in reach, by providing a massive gear range of 418 percent. Two aluminum carriers hold the largest seven cogs while four individual cogs are separated with aluminum spacers. Each cog features ramped teeth for snappy and precise shifting. Box cassettes are compatible with all major 11 speed chains and traditional MTB freehubs, but do not work with XD™ Drivers.

Progressive shifts - easy to set up
I purchased an entire new 11 speed drivetrain and after doing a lot of research I settled on the Box Two 11-46 cassette - with the 40 to 46 it was like getting the best of a 11-40 and an 11-46 shimano cassette all in one. Long story short, setup was quick and easy and it shifts smoother than my XT 10 speed drivetrain. I love it. Worth the extra $20 over an XT cassette easy.

Love the 46 tooth range without the 50 (SRAM) Price!
Plus the gearing is much better than the Shimano as you go from a 40 to 46 tooth final jump (which is still too big) but way better than the Shimano 37 to 46 tooth jump!
The 46 tooth shouldn't be just a granny gear.
Using this on an 11 speed AM 29'r and have nearly the same gear range as the old 22 chain ring 32 tooth cassettes. Only missing a couple of super low gears which were useless for me anyway.

Hard to beat this one!
For the range, intelligent gear steps at the low end (big cogs for climbing) weight and price - this one was simply to hard to beat.

Replaced a stock SRAM 11-42. Mounted quick and easy on new wheels w Shimano/HG hub and after a little b-screw adjust to the rr derailleur it has been perfect. Smooth and crisp shifting, no noise just some extended climbing gearing for the steeps. Allowed me to go up to larger chainring enhancing my overall range as well.

Significant improvement from Shimano
I switch from a Shimano 11-42 cassette and could not be happier. The gear ratio is much more conducive to climbing and the interval steps between gears is much more comfortable. Easy set up. Did not even need to adjust my derailleur. Probably the best bang for the buck and a cassette the size.

Works and looks great! Price is good too!
This cassette is awesome. For a 11-46 tooth cassette it has a huge gear range and much better gear spacing than shimano. I used to run an 11-40 XTR cassette with the One Up Components 18t and 45t kit and my Box Two cassette shifts a lot smoother and also love the black look as well! Go for it. You will love it!

Is this compatible with Shimano 11 speed derailleur ?
Mandy M on Feb 27, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Should work fine with any 11 speed MTB system like SRAM XX1, Shimano and Box, of course.
Do you know if I can replace my PG-1130 11-42t Cassette for this one?
betoesteves on Apr 27, 2017
BEST ANSWER: On the hub, yes.
The question is will your rear derailleur have the take up to get over the 46t cog.
I do not think that SRAM has any 11-speed rear derailuers that can handle 46t., only 42t.
I use Shimano SLX as the components are just as good and 1.4 the price.
The Box 11-46 cassette however has better gear spacing than the Shimano, which jumps from 37 to 46!
Basically they just added the 46 as a granny, whereas the Box has the 40 to better blend 37 to 46.
Will this cassette fit the Hope Pro 4 142mm hub?
mauiden on May 15, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I have boost hubs on my bike and it fit well. Shimano drive train. I love the is hub for the ratios is give you.
the Shimano XTR deraillleur says it ranges from 11-42. if i run a single chainring up front will the XTR work with this 11-46?
A shopper on Apr 2, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Shimano makes a 11-46T, so yes, it will work fine. The max capacity of a GS XTR derailleur is 37T, which is the exact range of this cassette. You will most likely need a longer chain if you were previously running a smaller cassette.
