My Trek Session came with saint organic brake pads and after a 2 hour drive in slushy snow conditions, the salt completely destroyed my pads. I got these because they are way more durable and actually stop quicker. Long story short, I should have replaced them right when I got my bike.

So [obviously] these pads come stock on Saint brakes.
I have a habit (hopefully just as of late) of replacing bikes every 6 months or so, and while I have 'em I upgrade the snot outta them.
This being the case, I've purchased 3 sets of Saint brakes in the last year/year.5, and unfortunately, despite properly beading them in(I road raced motorcycles for 12 years, and have ridden MX for over 35. I know how to properly bead in brakes), they all get/got noisy and started fading during the various chutes I ride around home.
Now, I'm 240lbs, and one run in particular you need to come to FULL STOP from 28-30mph in a relatively short distance(10-15yds I'd say), or else you'll literally ride off a cliff with about a 50ft drop. And this of course is after riding down a run with an average speed of 25mph+, but it's only a 1m run.
After deglazing the pads, and cleaning all the pad material off the rotors I elected to try the non-finned [older] pads, as thinking this was gonna be a often-repeated routine, I decided I did NOT wanna pay $30+ every month on a new set of fricken brake pads.
Bingo-BOFFO these meux-feux's worked every bit as 'good' as the newer, UBER-expensive finned pads, in every way. Power, noise, longevity... If I didn't know which ones were in the calipers, I literally wouldn't be able to tell you after hopping off the bike.
I finally switched to a 203mm rotor in the back, which allowed the pads back there to run cooler, quieter, and to last longer, but also take a lot of the pressure off the fronts, allowing them to improve in the same ways.
So my long-winded advice to you would be to try out the non-finned pads. You'll save money and I think will agree that they work just as well.
GOODNIGHTNOW!!
