Prices shown in currencies other than USA Dollars are estimates based on current exchange rates. We will charge your credit card in USA Dollars on the day your order is shipped, and the conversion to your local currency will be done at the prevailing rate by your credit card issuer.
Shipments outside the USA are declared as “bike parts” for customs purposes and will include the actual amount paid for merchandise and shipping. Jenson USA will not mark your parcel as a “gift”, declare a value lower than the actual price paid, or otherwise prepare false customs information.
When a bike from a legendary brand takes six years to develop, we take note. And when it’s from one of the most brilliant engineers in the industry, Dave Weagle, we definitely take note. The Ripley was a long time coming, and when we first threw a leg over Santa Cruz-based Ibis’ 29er wunderbike, it did nothing short of tear down preconceptions and blow our minds about what a modern trailbike is truly capable of. With a 140mm fork, the big Ibis turns into one of the world’s finest mountain bikes with chameleon-like capabilities. Uphill and in tight curves, it purrs along at an XC racer pace with the nimble mannerisms to match. Nose the Ripley downhill and its cat-like reflexes give way to descending splendor, able to hold its own on even the most fearsome of enduro courses and technical sections. It’s a machine to race XC on Saturday and Enduro on Sunday under the right pair of legs. When Perry gave us a call for a very special custom Ripley, we knew right off the bat we’d have another feature for our Custom Collection on our hands.
Perry’s Ibis started life as a stock XT build, and from there, the sky was the limit. First, we snagged Rockshox’ incredibly popular Pike in the special 51mm offset to soak up the big downhills around Boise and Sun Valley, Perry’s stomping grounds. The next logical step? Ibis’ unique and striking robin’s egg blue paint scheme for the frame, and a KS Lev dropper, an essential tool in every modern trailrider’s kit. Finally, the cherry on the build - the new Ibis 928 Carbon 29er hoops, proffering a beautiful tire profile with a 28mm wide rim and sub-1600g wheelset weight. This Ripley had more than a few of us reaching for our credit cards when it left the shop, and we’re pretty sure a tear or three was shed when it was loaded up onto the UPS truck. In fact, Perry reports that it’s now the object of envy amongst his friends, and totally eclipses his old 26-inch hardtail on his favorite stretch of dirt - the Eastside Trail in Boise National Forest.
