the steel wire bead made for a rather tough install compared to other wire beads i have dealt with before. wasnt impossible. but wasnt a sinch either.

I am using these for winter riding but when there wasn't snow, these (for not having a solid bead down the center) are very smooth riding on hard surfaces. Also, they have a pretty decent tread for dirt. no rock hopping please.

The knobs are harder than im used to and only get harder the colder it gets; making for some not so great ice traction. but fine for snow, packed snow and textured ice.

BEST USE - light to moderate multi-terrain multi-purpose summer riding. The tread will get soft but not so soft they become "sticky"

All in all.. for their price, it's well worth it.

These have good tread for our local pavement-to-dirt trails. A lot of area rides involve going from cement trails to dirt to sand to gravel and back, and these have a good pattern for all. has an almost continuous tread pattern for smooth fast rolling on hard stuff, but lugs are spaced wonderfully for when you hit the dirt.

These would be a great buy at twice the price, and I am confident that they will continue to impress.

These tires are inexpensive and do a decent job for the price. The traction is not bad out here in Phoenix where we have loose over hard, lots of rocks, kitty litter, you name it. Sometimes they slip if I am not perfectly positioned on climbs, but they are fine for downhill traction. Try running them in both directions to see how they feel for you.

The weight is respectable given the price, overall, I think this is a good value. Also, they have lasted a very long time with little wear. Now, are they as good as a 60 dollar Maxxis or Panaracer....well, no. They are not, but for someone on a budget, they perform solidly.

After getting a couple of flats, I decided to see if I could set them up ghetto tubeless. As long as you make sure that the bead is pulled on to the edge of the rim, they inflate just fine.

Great tire for the price. I wanted a tire for light trail riding. And one that didn't slow you down on asphalt. Other reviewers said this tire rolled fast. They were not kidding. This tire is very fast on asphalt. And ok to good on dirt. I do think it has a softer rubber compound and may where faster. But this compound grips when cornering at high speed. If you mostly ride hard surface, or use as a commuter you can't go wrong with this tire. I will buy them again.Please remove this bentwrench[@]

$11 tires...how good could they be? Initially I went with budget and looks in mind and figured that these tires were going to be OE to my stockers. Well, I was pretty impressed on how they actually handled the trials.
