I have been using this item for over a year, and today it proved itself up to the test.
I had locked my bike to a rack near my local bike store. I make it a point to either keep my bike in my line of sight, or, if that's not possible, to not be too long away from the bike. This was the case today.
When I returned to the bike, I unlocked it and, as I was wrapping up the cable I found that the casing had been cut through, but the cable itself was still intact. It had proved too tough for the would-be thief in the time I was gone.
I realize that I was lucky. Had the thief had more time I would now be bike-less, but the Kryptonite definitely slowed him (her?) down. I'll be buying another one (or two!)of these.
