Campagnolo calls it Ergopower because of the "ergo" part, or the part dealing with your hands on the brake levers. There's a great deal of thought put into this, in other words. Like they say, while climbing, or sprinting, your hands will always find the ideal position, without compromise. Officially this is called Ultra-Shift Ergonomics, and note that you now have three distinct hand positions on the levers compared to the two you might be used to using.The Vari-Cushion hoods are made of UV-ray resistant non-allergenic elastic material that provides cushioning and ultimate durability. Campagnolo incorporated their Power-Shift mechanism, allowing an upshift of three sprockets at time as well as a downshift with one sprocket. The Campagnolo Veloce Ergopower Shifter Set is a match to your Mirage, Veloce or Centaur rear derailleur.
