Used to be very loyal to King, but lately I am appreciating the availability, quality, and price of Cane Creek a lot more. Buy the Cane Creek 40 series headsets, and IF the bearings ever go, buy 110 replacement bearings.
The particular lower was extremely easy to install on my Santa Cruz Tallboy. If you are confused, this is the zero stack lower to use with a straight steerer.

Do your research, read up on the history, then get the Cane Creek. Chris King also makes a really nice product but it's not better than this.

Needed a headset lower that would allow me to run a standard steerer tube in my tapered head tube. This works, it doesn't creak, not much else to say about a headset other than it does what it's supposed to
