What could be better?

I have not used it long, but it has been ridden fairly hard sinceI put it on my 2011 Demo. First off CC's customer service is great, just call them with any set-up or general questions and they will help! Next, it rides like a dream compared to my Fox shock I had. I used the Demo specific tune that they have avaliable and I am not making very many changes. I rides so much smoother, has better small bump complience, and just looks great!

PROS: Plush, Easy To Install, Attractive Design, Adjustable, Durable

Very nice quality

This shock was crammed into a 2013 Intense Tracer that gets used mostly as a park bike. On that bike, I had to mill part of the linkage to get clearance, but the shock wasn't recommended for this bike anyways.

So far, it is a lot more durable than the Fox RC4. The bushings feel sticky off the bike, but are smooth on the bike. It has a very nice feel and has a world of tuning options. For mine, I had to put a 550lb. spring, and run very minimal HSC and pretty low LSC (I weigh a little under 200 suited up). It took about a month to get it tuned, and rode like dookie until I started getting away from base settings. Now it handles high speed chatter really well, handles steep jump faces with control, and doesn't kill me on big, flat landings. It is pretty shiny too, if that makes a difference.

The shock without a spring weighs about as much as an air shock. The tuning book it comes with is a nice touch.

PROS: Attractive Design, Durable, Easy To Install

Is the size 8.75 x 2.5 correct or is it 8.5 x 2.5?

BEST ANSWER: Mine is the 9.5" eye-to-eye. so can't really help you.

BEST ANSWER: The Double Barrel CS does, Double Barrel no. I have the CS on my Intense Carbine 29 and find that with the shock set up right I don't need the CS. I have actually never used it besides trying it out a few times and forgetting it was on when headed back down.

Is the sizing correct is it 8.75 x 2.5 like it says or is it supposed to be 8.5x2.5?

BEST ANSWER: Just measured my eye-to-eye and it's 9.5" so don't think I can help with this.

Does this have the 15 mm open end eye?
