This is a great seat post. It is very sturdy with great shock absorbing rubber ! If you have a hard tail and have to dodge pot holes, curbs or if you ride trail and find the bumps get to you this is a great solution.

This is a great addition to my rigid 29er steel bike. Takes just enough of an edge off where I can stay in the saddle more without adding a lot of weight or altering the handling of the bike.

I don't think I can go back to a regular seatpost after having this one!

I weigh 150 lbs and use the stock elastomer. It comes with one firmer and one softer. I haven't tried those yet.

After much deliberation, I bought this post. Having never owned a suspension seat post before, I was dubious about how much it might help. And, the price tag was more than a bit intimidating. So far, I am ecstatic. I do a lot of riding on gravel and uneven pavement, and I'm used to hopping out of the saddle for minor bumps. Small holes, concrete seams, manhole covers, pavement to sidewalk transitions - this post absorbs them all.With this post, I can stay in the saddle almost entirely. It completely easts up the little bumps that you take for granted. Being on the heavy side, I did have to swap out the elastomer, but the process was easy. It was nice that they ship the unit with multiple inserts, allowing you to match your riding weight - or to pre-load the seat for harder riding.

I have been riding for 21 years and I am a senior citizen. My arthritic spine turned mythoughts to a suspension seat post. I ride 3 days a week a total of 110 to 150 miles.

It takes the edge off a ridged frame ride which is fantastic. I would recommend this to anyone on a ridged frame.

This shockpost could serve well the needs of short, lightweight tandem stokers, but only with the ultra-soft elastomer that is not included in the package. The 1 oz urethane pad accessory costs $30 including S&H. Bummer. But with the right elastomer it is a great shockpost. I just met another tandem team with a similar problem. So...thrill your short customers: include the ultrasoft elastomer.

Excellent experience with the Thudbuster ST. Really helps take the edge off the vibrations, without feeling mushy. I have been using it daily for the last 2 weeks commuting on pretty bad, pothole laden roads. Haven't used it much off road, but on unpaved roads it was really good.

The seatpost is great and helps me avoid backpain. It is cushier that the telescoping type seatposts and works much better for me.

This is one of the best purchases I have made for my bike. I use my bike for about 100 miles a week of commuting. My bike has quite a harsh ride and I have spend quite i bit of time fiddling with seats and fit to try and get it comfortable. Its comfortable for a while then I get numbness and soreness on my legs and bum.After purchasing the Thudbuster ST all the soreness went away. The smacks on my bum going over a pothole are now just wobbles. I was worried that the seat would affect my peddling but except for my comfortable ride I would not notice that it was there. A fabulous product.
