"Volo!" as in Italian for "I'm flying," is meant to be the workhorse of Castelli's race shorts, and that's exactly what they are. As the little brother to the Free Aero Race short, the Volo short is built with Affinity Lycra® fabric on the inside of the leg for outstanding stretch and rebound to keep the working muscles supported and to prevent fatigue. As the updated KISS Air internal pad happens to be the very chamois pad that a number of Castelli pro riders prefer, it only made sense for the raceday-oriented Volo bib to use one.

Additionally, it sees improved aerodynamics through the progressive Affinity BLC textured fabric, while the Giro Air mesh leg band affords more stretch and distributes the compression over a larger area to free the legs up of any restriction that can occur with many cycling shorts. With this type of through design and tactical placing of materials, you get a pro-worthy pair of trousers that support your muscles, promote proper blood flow, reduce wind drag, and look tastefully understated crossing the finish line.
