Comments about Cateye Uno EL010 Led Headlight:

I bought this unit, to use on my Helmet for two reasons. First I wanted to use rechargeable AA batteries on all my gear. Second this is way lighter than my climbing Petzl Myo XP headlamp with 3xAA. This unit is not as bright as, for instance, a Fenix HL21 headlamp, with the same single AA battery configuration. Consider the Cateye UNO EL010, a good/honest light, if you didn´t buy any LED light in the past 8 years. If you did bought any good model lately, you will consider this a regular/could-be-brighter unit. If you need a light for the handlebar to light the path and not only be-seen this suffice, but spending a little more money and getting a Niterider Mako100 or Planet Bike Blaze 1/2 Watt Led Headlight, would suffice on the handlebar since their reflectors are better. Spend even more, between USD40.00 and USD50.00 and get a Niterider Mako 200. The Cateye UNO suffice for city commuting, but NEVER FOR TRAIL RIDING as the only unit in your system. I still have to buy the helmet mount separately. As a secondary unit on my helmet, this UNO is OK. Waterproofness is great, if you lube the O-ring. Run-times are OK too, since the light will NOT die on you during the first two hours.
