Chris King spent months developing their Chris King ISO Disc Hubs, first having to modify and adapt their machines to use larger bar stock in order to manufacture the hub shells of the ISO Disc hubs, which ultimately allowed them to also increase the spoke flange diameter. A larger spoke flange diameter positions the spoke holes higher up and further away from each other, resulting in the use of shorter spokes, which produces stiffer, stronger and more durable wheels. Due to increasingly popular one-by mountain bike drivetrains, Chris King decided it was time to release the Chris King ISO XD 148mm Disc Hub for those still seeking Chris King performance on their trail bike.
