Chris King® Precision Components has been making high-quality components since the late 1970’s. From the first sealed bearing headset to hubs to bottom brackets, Chris King® is known for long lasting components that look as well as they perform. The stainless steel bearings used in Chris King® components are all made in-house, as has been the case for more than 35 years. All Chris King® components are 100% made in the USA and we’d consider it safe to say most products they’ve manufactured over the past 35 years are still on the road today.

Choosing the correct Chris King™ headset

Aside from the legendary NoThreadSet™, Chris King produces a number of InSet™ headsets for frames that use Low-Stack internal bearing headsets. InSet™ is the classic, unbeatable Chris King sealed bearing headset built into six configurations for contemporary bicycle headtube dimensions. As a low-stack style headset, the press-in cups and bearings are housed within the headtube allowing for an overall lower ride height. InSet compatibility can also conform to forks with tapered steerer tubes. Check the links below to find the correct InSet™ headset to fit your frame and fork.
