Comments about Continental Trail King Folding Tire:
Black Chilli compound lives up to the hype. Extremely grippy without sacraficing too much rolling resitance. Far better than Maxxis 3C compound for tread life. Breaks predicatbly in corners. Great for both front and back applications.
It should be noted that these tires are true to size and therefore run larger than most. i.e. this 2.4 runs more like a Maxxis 2.5.
I run these on an AM/FR built 09 Remedy and have been equally impressed with their ability on the climbs as on fast technical descents.
Though Conti bills the 2.3 Baron as its Enduro tire, this is a much more versitile contender.

Comments about Continental Trail King Folding Tire:
High volume tire delivers excellent traction and allows for low tire pressures when the track calls for it. Rolls extremely well given the size of tread on the tire. I typically used Kenda's equivalent tires in the past that had excellent traction as well but did not roll nearly as fast as these do. Need to wait and see how long they last.

I get to see a WIDE variety of conditions; this tire does well at all of them. There are tires that might perform better under specific conditions, but...

Comments about Continental Trail King Folding Tire:
I ride this tire in the forward direction on the rear wheel for a little less rolling restistance. It's good in all conditions and it handles everything pretty well. I haven't tried it tubless but might soon. I get plenty of traction climbing, cornering, braking and everywhere in between.
Comments about Continental Trail King Folding Tire:
Great tire. It is a very large volume 2.2; as large as some 2.3 or 2.4 from other companies. It is a great front tire; a lot of grip, fairly light, not a lot of rolling resistance, and holds corners well in the loose stuff. I highly recommend this tire.

Comments about Continental Trail King Folding Tire:
Nicest tire I have owned. Perfect for 6-7" AM bike for those who ride to the top but like to shred rocky terrain. I bought the non-UST but worked great tubless with a little stans. Burped once on steep down at whistler, pumped it up and no problems since. They have super high profile allowing for low pressure riding and compliance over rough terrain. It is probably close to 27.5 wheel OD.
The 2.4 is probably too big for regular trail riding. I may order the 2.2 for my blur. They are a little slow compared to my X-king, but that is no surprise. Way more traction though.
Highly recommended for aggressive AM. Perfect match for my nomad.
