Comments about Continental X-King Race 26" Tire:
The hard packed SoCal trails turn soft and loose in the late summer so I was looking for a front tire with more side bite for cornering than my Conti Race King Supersonic 2.2. The X-king is well matched to my rear RK SS and my cornering confidence was once again regained. These tires do well in the loose stuff but feel strange on hardpack as the side knobs have alot of flex when pushed hard. Even with the flex they still had great traction, the feel just takes some getting used to. Being pleased with the performance on the front, I tried it on the rear but the results were not so good. Good front tire but not so much on the rear. I have found my new loose conditions front tire.
