After dealing with several wheelsets that had issues with rounding nipples, I have changed over to using these. The hex head means that if you round off the spoke wrench flats (or have the foresight not to overdo it in the first place), you still can remove the nipple without cutting a spoke (which is really nice for cheapskates like myself). Thankfully, I have yet to need to do so, but I successfully tested the function when building up a wheel recently.
The only downside is that brass nipples are heavier than alloy, but since I generally use non-eyletted rims, this is a moot point.
