The XM 1501 Spline One 27.5 wheels offers all of the required ingredients for merciless trail riding, including wide, lightweight tubeless ready rims, and reliable Ratchet System® hubs. Spline One wheels feature rim profiles engineered specifically to maximize the rims material across all categories of weight, width and performance. A special welding process is applied to the rims for a seamless look and tenacious connection.
The XM 1501 Spline One 27.5 wheels comes tubeless ready, meaning the rims have been carefully engineered to feature a profile that reduces the forces applied on the rim sidewall. This optimized rim bed yields fast tire installation and a great tire fit, allowing for quick and trouble-free tubeless setup.
The patented freewheel system uses precision ratchets, featuring an extremely high load capacity and unmatched reliability. The straight pull spokes are utilized for their absence of spoke elbows, eliminating the biggest weak point of conventional spokes, while increasing the overall stiffness of the wheel. Combine this ingenious Ratchet System with the new straight pull hubs, and the result is a firm, reactive wheel that excels at transferring your energy from your pedal strokes and into the forward motion.

Comments about DT Swiss XM 1501 Spline 27.5" Wheel:
The first thing I did when I opened the box was dissect the hubs, spacers and freewheel, very thought out and stout hardware with Japanese bearings. And very easy to clean and lube the ratcheting freewheel hub.No load adjusting required, unlike other wheels like Easton havocs (although the rear hub is upgraded to a more dependable unit, no load adjustment necessary) or Mavic crossmax st hubs, which always seems in need for adjustment to get rid of side to side play. Both were used for my 26er bike. Got these for my new 650 killer B Norco Sight.Bearings a little tight at first, but spin freely after 30 miles of riding, especially the freewheel compared to the crossmax. I noticed right away the lighter wheels when pedaling compared to the stock wheels.I picked a wrong line going over sharp bigs rocks that fully compressed my fork and the wheels held up!And over rock gardens smooth and fast.Only time will tell the durability as i've only had these for 2 weeks.Only negative is the small hubs, but thats just visual. Compared to others I had before.
