Diamondback Line Bike 2017
Designed for those who like to ride a little bit of everything, the Line is Diamondback's latest 27.5 creation and is designed to be an efficient, fun, and nimble all mountain rig. The Line blends the climbing efficiency of a hardtail mountain bike with the slack and aggressive geometry of an all mountain shredder. The Line's 6061-TG butted alloy hardtail frame is responsive and stable when climbing and utilizes its slack geometry well when headed downhill. The Line's 27.5" wheel size splits the difference between 29" and 26" and maintains some of the characteristics of each. The 27.5" wheel size offers a shallower angle of attack for an altogether smoother ride, yet remains agile and maneuverable. The SR Suntour XCR 120mm travel suspension fork soaks up the bumpy stuff well and ensures a soft landing when its time to try your luck with some gravity defying moves. All-in-all the Diamondback Line defies categorization and offers a ride experience well-suited for diverse terrain.
The Line is well-equipped with an efficient and reliable SRAM X4 9-speed drivetrain. An alloy, single-ring crankset provides the power center of the drivetrain. SRAM shifters controls an X5 mid-cage rear derailleur and the SRAM PG950 11-34T cassette brings up the rear, providing a wide-range of gearing necessary for trail riding. Tektro Auriga hydraulic disc brakes give you responsive control of your speed, making it easy to stop on a dime or modulate your speed through techy sections of the trail. Knowing that you're ready to start speeding down the trail, Diamondback equipped the Line with a set of their SL-7 Doublewall wheels wrapped in SchwalbeTough Toms for excellent grip in the corners and a variety of terrain. The Line's cockpit features a DB alloy front end paired with a DB alloy seat post and DB Sync'r signature saddle.
