To make a modern trail bike means you must have a bike that excels in a variety of conditions. A bike with mid travel, and slackened geometry that is fast over climbs, tech sections, and heavy descents. Diamondback's Release series applies all these traits and wrapped them into a sexy package that will have riders doing a double take.
The Diamondback Release 3 utilizes Diamondback's Level Link suspension system to provide 130mm of controlled, useable suspension that is both plush and pedals like a dream. The Hydroformed aluminum frame helps to keep the Release feeling light and nimble while providing superior durability. Up front, the Rock Shox 150mm travel Pike fork will gobble up rough sections like you're on a much bigger bike. SRAM's 11-speed X1 drivetrain remains extremely efficient with snappy, precise shifts, and a gear range that will allow you to blaze up the climbs. SRAM's Guide RS hydraulic brakes with 180mm rotors are powerful stoppers with remarkable control that will give you the confidence to descend like the pros.
The Release 3 is the best trail bike Dimondback has ever made. For riders who look for speed at every possible moment, the Release Three is the bike for you.

I've had the 2016 version for 18 months now, and it's been a great bike. I changed the stock wheels to some carbon rims, and now it weighs just over 29 lbs. It's been very easy to service, and have not had any issues. Great components, fork and shock. I've ridden most of the big popular rides in CO, and passed bikes on the climb, and on the descent that cost 3 times as much. Excellent value, and I would recommend it to anybody.
