I thought this was a pretty nice wheel, and the price was very reasonable, but I went back through my notes and realized that I bought this to replace one I had bought a little over a year ago, and the reason I was replacing it again is because the spokes started popping all by themselves. Not sure if it was a fluke, maybe I just happened to get a bad one, so I'll give it another try, but if a year from now this wheel starts doing the same thing, I certainly won't buy another one.

stable on rough roads, on hard corners it has some flex, makes it pretty good on wet road, and ok+ on dry. on a tight slalom on dry road you will feel the flex, yet still remain in good control.

Wheel came in nice and straight right out of the box. After 500 miles of RR tracks, potholes, etc. the wheel is still true. Braking performance while wet is dramatically better than the original steel wheels. Good product for the money.

I just received this wheel having bought it on a prayer that it would adapt to the 120 mm dropout on my wife's 1970's era Gitane I am refurbishing. Fortunately, by removing the end nuts on the axle it fits right in the 120 mm dropout and is properly aligned. The only downside is that the quick release will not fit unless the axle is cut to fit the outside dimension of the dropout. We never have need to remove the rear wheel anyway so that is not an issue for us. The end nuts can be used to bolt the axle on the frame. It would have cost me $40 more to re-spoke the old wheel at my LBS than I payed for this new wheel and new freewheel with the same gearing.
