I normally ride in a lot of dust, using other lube the dust would grind the gears and sprockets till the slots looked long with sharp points at the top. And the chain would be so worn that my chain gauge would go through on the no go side in just a couple of hundred miles. This stuff fixed the problem. I always have a clean chain with no dust on it.
Once you learn to use this stuff correctly you will stick with it. I use the dark green stuff on my mountain bike and the lighter colored stuff on my road bike.
1. Soak the chain in some mean green or simple green to get all the old lube out of it.
2. With the chain on the bike, slowly (real slow) run the chain backwards putting one drop on each lug on every link. It will take a few minutes but well worth the time it takes.
3. Ride the bike around the block a couple of laps shifting gears to make sure you embed the lube into all the gears, sprockets and chain links.
4. When you get back you will notice some black gunk all over everything. Just wipe it all off and go for your normal ride. Do not re-lube.
You will notice the black gunk will come back on the first and maybe second ride after each lube. Don't re-lube, just wipe it off again.
**Don't re-lube till you "think" you hear the chain start making a squeaking sound.
If you wash your bike don't re-lube till you hear the squeaking sound or just feel like re-lubing. But it is not needed. When you do re-lube you will again see the black gunk. Again just wipe it off without re-lubing and keep riding.
I have dry lubes, wax lubes and this stuff is even better then ProGold Lube which at one time would swear by.
I don't work for anyone related to a bike shop or Dumonde. This is just some information that I wished someone would have told me so I would not have had to waste my time and money learning the hard way.

Great product! Does what it advertises. Jenson came through with the best price and very fast delivery. Dripped onto chain with a rag underneath. Hard to tell if I completely covered all of the chain. Had more on the rag than I would expect. Overall, easy to apply, not too messy and will re-do it in a couple of weeks. Worried about build-up.

I have used many chain lubes over the past 3 years and this one is the best. I've been using this since 2008 and am very happy.
CLEAN and dry your chain AND cassette AND Crank Gears and then apply the oil. Run through all the gears a couple of times then wipe off excess oil. If you do this every few rides then you will have no problems with your bike shifting and working properly AND your drivetrain will last a LONG time!
