Duro Road Presta Valve Tube

These Duro inner tubes come in one width (20-25c) and in 2 different valve lengths, 48mm, and 60mm. No matter the length of the valve, the low price remains the same. The 20-25c width is super accommodating. These inner tubes can be used to tire widths between 18c and 25c. That’s a huge range!

Duro 700c Road tubes come packaged in an air tight foil bag. This not only makes storage easy but this style of packaging helps to keep your tubes fresh. Keeping tubes fresh is an issue because you don’t want them to dry out and crack before you even have a chance to ride them.

One thing we have discovered is that there are only a handful of bicycle inner tube manufacturers. Many if not all inner tubes, come from a small handful of suppliers in Asia. This essentially means that no matter the tube brand, we’re all riding the same tubes. This is great for you because you’ll be getting a high quality tube at a super reduced price. Nearly nowhere else can you buy an inner tube for such a low price anymore!

Duro Inner Tubes are super inexpensive and super versatile. Varying valve length and a wide width range enable these 700c road inner tubes to be used in many applications. Whether it’s Road, Track or Fixed Gear, these tubes will work!

Great 700c tube for anyone who rides clinchers and has deep-V rims that require a long valve. I am using these on a 25c Vittoria tire. I have shallow rims, so I don't need the extra valve length, but at the price I can't complain there is no valve length option.

The best thing about these tubes is they come sealed in a bag! This means you can store them without having to worry about the rubber drying out and they stay fresh!

So far they've held up well. They're not the lightest tubes, but they're certaintly worthy of many miles of training and group rides.

I ordered four of the 48mm tubes and figured, hey, they are cheap, why not? Whoops...

Tube 1: Installed, pumped up, hit a pothole and flat. After inspection, it didn't seem to be a pinch, the seam just gave away and split.

Tube 2: This one was my fault, ran over something metal in the road riding in the dark. Oddly, I didn't see any puncture in my tire.

Tube 3: Got through my ride, noticed my tire was low. Pumped it up, flat over night. Check the tube, slow leak from the seam grrr...

Tube 4: I'm waiting to give this tube to someone I don't like

Comments about Duro Road Presta Valve Tube:

I see no noticeable difference in quality in these tubes vs much more expensive tubes. Given the low price I don't know why one would bother with a more expensive tube unless they really had some desire for some of the ultra-light ones. For the average rider, I think these will perform just fine and have for me. I have seen no increased susceptibility to flats with these vs other tubes.

Good tubes, average weight for a road tube. But great on the wallet, and I've had really good luck with their durability. FYI, the valve-cores are not removable.

Comments about Duro Road Presta Valve Tube:

I own several bikes that have 23c or 25c wheels, and am well versed in changing tubes and checking for underlying wheel problems that cause flats . I normally think that all tubes are about the same, as I am not looking to shave grams. I have used three of these tubes thus far. Two of them EXPLODED when I inflated the tire to 110psi (and yes they were seated correctly). The exploded tubes had a 3-4 inch rip along the seams. Another flated after less than 2 miles. The rubber on these tubes may be degraded, as they seem noticibly less pliant than the Nashbar or Michelin tubes I normally use.

Comments about Duro Road Presta Valve Tube:

Best to install after applying talc or baby powder especially with tighter tire/rim combos. I use 60mm version on 60mm rims, place a couple wraps of electrical tape just below the valve threads to seal a valve extender. Remove extender after inflation for a sexy, low-profile effect.

Comments about Duro Road Presta Valve Tube:

This is my tube of choice for off season training, and commuting. It's a bit on the heavier side, but only by a few grams, so it's barely noticeable.

The longevity of this tube, like any other tube depends on proper installation, and the use of the right tires. Of course if your tires are worn out, then any thorn and staple will get to it and you'll have an awesome time changing out your flat on the side of the road while your friends wait for you. We all know how fun that is.
I ride 250 miles a week on average, which include rides up scenic mountain roads, down fast paced and sometimes treacherous descents, through all sorts of unpredictable weather and terrains, and these are the tubes I am currently taking on my rides(adventures).

There are no complaints on my behalf since they are great tubes for the price, and do what they're supposed to, except make you faster. That relies on you.

I bought a dozen thinking they would last me a very long time like my Bontrager tubes. Wrong! I blew through these in short order. Sometimes I had to change it on back to back rides. I have checked my tires, rim over and over and nothing. Sometimes it gives out at the stem or on the other parts of the tube. I would not recommend these!

Comments about Duro Road Presta Valve Tube:

I agree that people who have trouble with tubes usually have not installed them properly or just got flats and may not have removed the culprit that caused it. These tubes work fine but weigh over 100 grams so are not for racing. That said, it makes sense to use these tubes for your spares in the bike bag as they have a nice durable, waterproof package perfect for using as spares. Beware of the bad reviews and realize these tubes are a bargain.
