Never used the big ring on my bike, it would just dig into logs and rocks and get damaged. Installed this bashguard and now I don't have to worry about getting caught on stuff and flying over the bars or tweaking my back.

Having owned several bashgaurds, this one really stands out. It has taken some really hard hits on rocks and roots in recent months, and has performed beautifully. The bolt sleeves have a tight tolerance, and therefore good fit. It looks sharp too;)

This is the lightest bash I've used. Don't let that fool you though - it's tough enough to run on my FR/DH bike and take the big hits - staircases, hard edges from urban FR, DH rockgardens. Have repeatedly hit it and it's stood up to the abuse. Found it was so good on my FR bike, I bought one for my wife's 5.5" travel trail bike as well to replace a heavy bashgaurd. Light enough not to be out of place on an XC bike, strong enough to take the abuse ona FR bike. What more could you want? Oh, it looks cool too...

This is my 4th bashguard. It's very light, and easy to install, but original XTR bolts don't work with the the E13. Other than that, it's ready to take on a beating.

The turbocharger bashguard is an excellent choice for AM, XC riding. The bash is lightweight, nad made very well, so it should handle the abuse of roots and rocks.
It comes with hardware, but it might not be compatible with your existing bolt. I ran into this issue when installing with my Shimano XT crankset. Other issue is that the bolts use Torx, so make sure you have the approbriate tools before you try to install.

I have been using many different companies bash guards for years and e13 has continued to be the best. This new ring is lighter and stronger than their old model. A big plus is that you can use normal chaining bolts with it as well.
