Comments about ENVE 29Er AM Tubeless Wheeset:
I bit the Bullet and bought a set of Enve AM 26" for my Ellsworth Epiphany. I ride on the more agressive side of trail and All Mtn. I like to go over and through things rather than around things. Man can these things take a beating. In 3 years of hard use they haven't needed truing yet! I Love these wheels and I will definatly buy another set.
Before these wheels I was Killing at least 1 set of wheels a summer. I'm not talking wimpy XC wheels either I'm Talking Freeride/Dh wheels. With these wheels I get the weight of a XC race wheel and the Durabilty of a DH Wheel. Thats a Dream come true. The wider internal width also helps tires grip better, and reduces pinch flats. 3 Full seasons of year round riding with complete reckless abandon and no Failures.
The only down side is the price, but I was spending 500-1000 dollars a summer replacing heavier aluminium wheels. You get what you pay for.
