I was always riding ODI rouge grips as i have big hands. A guy recommended these to me and i was really skeptical but need grips anyway. Now i am in love.

These are perfect in dimensions for anyone who needs XL gloves or bigger. There is also a extra chunky version which i like even better (34mm)

Compared to a lock on it is amazing how pretty much all vibration disappears which is great because your hands don't become so tired.

they are a pain in the a... to get on and the only way to get them off again if you don't have an air compressor around is to cut them off.
So if you are planing on trying different handlebars or have brakes shifter which require you to remove the grips to slide them of the bars these are a waist of money.

I honestly fell in love with those so deeply, i always carry a pair of spare grips in my toolbox these days. I would not ride any other grips any more.

These may be good for bmx or park riding. I installed on my AM bike. First, they were a little difficult to install, even with windex. More to the point, they got dirty very quickly (I purchased the red grips) and it doesn't take much before they started tearing up. Any time you lay your bike down or hit something on your bars, you risk damaging the grips. I also didn't find the grip to be that great. Grips were also thinner than I thought when installed.

Comfy but a Pain

Comments about ESI Chunky 32mm Grips:

Decided to give this a shot since I tend to tear up my grips quite a bit from riding. Installing was a breeze. Just wipe your bars and grip with some alcohol and wiggle wiggle it on before it dries.

Now taking it off is a pain. I used compressed air but it is still "not as easy" as lock-ons.

If you plan on installing this once and having it on your bars for a while, go for it, it's nice. If you're like me, where I switch handlebars, components, brakes, quite a bit from upgrading or just trying out new stuff then avoid at all costs. You don't want to bring alcohol, sprays, etc just to get stuff off your bars.

I just replaced these with lock-ons after a couple weeks. I'll save these for my cruiser bikes

Comments about ESI Chunky 32mm Grips:

Great grips! Super light and very comfortable. Can be hard to install so try to find YouTube video with installation (very helpful). Took me 10+ minutes per grip initial installation and less than 30 seconds per grip after viewing video. Ends can get damaged pretty easily so use bar end caps but still probably more durable than competing foam grips at similar weights.

Comments about ESI Chunky 32mm Grips:

I've used the ESI Chunkys for typical trail riding on a few sets of handlebars. They tame vibration better than a standard lock-on grip and have a nice, tacky feel to them. Installation can be kind of tricky, but I've found that rubbing alcohol works a great deal better during installation than window cleaner. One other downside would be durability. Since they are a pretty simple, silicone design they get a bit beat up after a few run-ins with trees and bushes. Using bar end plugs might help with this, but really, they're so cheap it's really not a big deal to replace them. Overall, excellent value.

Comments about ESI Chunky 32mm Grips:

These are by far the most comfortable grips I've used. I've got them on all my bikes now. So far, durability hasn't been an issue for me. Then again, I've not hit any trees with them yet! Make sure you follow the directions for installation. I dunked these things in glass cleaner to install.

these grips are awesome and cheaper than lock on grips. though they are not very durable if you take a spill and scrape them they can tear. installing them is almost impossible if you don't use rubbing alcohol to slip them on much easier.

Comments about ESI Chunky 32mm Grips:

As much as I like the practical nature of round clamp on grips, most of them are not as comfortable as I would like. I have smaller hands and need smaller diameter grips. With small diameter clamp on's, there is not much soft rubber grip thickness. The chunky's have a thick cushy material all the way thru that for me is very comfortable. I love these for cross country and all mountain riding.
