not sure why they spec'd such a lightweight front buckle. very easy to open accidentally so a more robust buckle would be great. it would also eliminate the need for the straps on both hips. the straps are actually very short and come out of the buckles, rendering the side straps even more useless.
however the shorts fit great, allow for all day rides, and are not too hot. would have rec'd five stars had it not been for the michael jackson - like extra straps.

Bought a lot of shorts to cover up my tights on the trail....but these are the best yet by far. They don't cinch up and squeeze sensitive body parts. Very impressed and plan to buy another pair.
