I've used these on a bunch of trail rides, at the MTB park, and a lot of commuting. They're really comfortable, with room for kneepads/shinguards if you're into dirt jumping or DH/Enduro.
They get a little bit heavy if they're soaked with rain and mud, and they don't come with a nylon belt like the Hummvee 3/4, but being a heavier weight fabric they stay warmer than the Hummvees do when soaked so they've won out for the fall commuting season. With a pair of wool knee socks, they're great even in the low 40-degree (F) misty mornings in the PacNW.
I love that you can snap in the liner shorts just like the Hummvee. The liner short is very comfortable, for a 30 mile r/t commute as well as for 40 mile trail rides.

I did a lot of research on these before I purchased them and the reviews I read said to size down, and with a 33" waist I normally wear a medium, but I ordered a small. The reviews were wrong, they run true to size, so they will need to be exchanged as they are a bit too snug to wear anywhere except for a Village People concert. I relay like the material as they look just like the woodlands camo pattern of the old BDUs, but the nylon looks like it will wear much better and last longer for biking. I also am looking forward to using these canoeing as they are the right length and the nylon will dry much quicker than cotton. Overall i was sad that I could not wear them, but am looking forward to getting them in the correct size.
