This stem is a work of art with it's matt U/D Carbon finish. Fit and finish is superb and weight is spot on ENVE's claims.
It looks great with an ENVE post and fork - now all I need is a set of bars!
To me it was worth the cost as you can spend a fair amount of time looking at/over your stem and it's nice to see something so aesthetically pleasing. I'm sure the stiffness is there too - seems very solid indeed.
The only downside is the price, but you get what you pay for - made in the US by a high-end parts manufacturer instead of a huge factory in Asia.
