Product functions as promised. That is to say my seat post hasn't slipped. However it was a bit dryer than I expected, roughly the texture of damp sand, and just barely wet enough to stick to the post. I've never used a product like this before so perhaps that's normal, but it wasn't as greasy as I anticipated.

I used to work in a bike shop and used this exact product, just in a larger shop sized tub. When I couldn't find any of this at a local bike shop I decided to purchase it from here.
When I first took the packet out, I noticed how little of the compound there was compared to the last time I remember handling these packets at the bike shop. Then, when I opened it the compound looked pink instead of red (which isn't exactly alarming, but odd considering this stuff is supposed to be red, which made me think that something might be wrong). Sure enough, it felt like the grit had separated from the red medium that it's supposed to be suspended in, so the compound was almost completely dried out and caked. This may not be a problem with the product itself, just that it was on Jenson's shelf for too long of a time and after some temperature changes or something, the particles separated from the media.
I used this on my headset and my seatpost. It did not work on my headset expander plug, but it did work on my seatpost.
This is a good product when it isn't dried out. I've used this in the shop many times with much success, but the packet I received from Jenson didn't do it any justice.
