this allowed me to run my 1-1/8" steer tube domains in a 1-1/8-1.5" tapered headset. Been out for a few rides, seems to work well, with no issues. Way cheaper than a new headset, and most headsets that claim to be "reducers" seem to only provide one of these reducer races anyway... so to date a great product at a great price.

Caution: only works with FSA headsets

This product is not universal, only works with FSA headsets. I wasted my money.
I should have just gone to my LBS in the first place.

Comments about FSA Integrated Crown Race Reducer:

I used this to fit my Rockshox Recon 1 1/8" to a new Niner Air 9 with tapered headtube. The reducer works as intended, and fits well. The only con I can mention is that it was difficult to set the reducer to the crown race.

Comments about FSA Integrated Crown Race Reducer:

Got a tapered headset FSA 42 and thought I would get one of these just in case I ever got a front fork that was straight.

And thats what happened - got a deal on a new front shock - pulled this out of the drawer -this was easy to install and once headset torqued up - goes like a bought one.

Comments about FSA Integrated Crown Race Reducer:

There are mostly two standards on bearing angle, 36° and 45°. I learned the hard way that this crown race will only work correctly with 36° bearings.

How do you use this there are no instructions? I have an OEM FSA Gravity DL integrated headset. It looks nothing like the original race. The bearings move around on it. You can't install the original race on it. I suspect it is made for sealed cartridge bearings not these cheap ball bearings.

Comments about FSA Integrated Crown Race Reducer:

I ordered a carbon mountain bike frame online. What was not specified was that the steering tube dimension of 1-1/8 top and 1.5 bottom are becoming common on carbon model bikes. The forks I use are mostly 1-1/8 inch in steering tube diameter. The crown reducer saved me money on having to buy a new fork or a completely new headset.

If you have an FSA headset and this works for you, there is none better. It is much cheaper than buying a lower headset. My bike feels plenty stiff with it installed.
