As an example: I have lost the dust seals on the pedals for my Motobecane Grand Jubille (my commuting bike) and cannot find any with the proper threading. I doesn't matter! The pedals just keep going through rain and cold, in spite of being exposed to all that road dirt.Get the one-pounder for economy and ease of use, and a tube for travel.

Decent grease. Just rebuilt the hubs on three bikes with it, plus the BB and headset on an older machine. Seems fine. I bought the 3.5oz tube and you get enough from that to do a fair bit of general maintenance. However, after you've thoroughly messed with four bikes or so, you'll probably need another tube for next season.
