Five Ten Impact VXI Shoes
Five Ten Impact VXi Shoe 2014
The gnarliest trails need shoes that can stand up to the conditions. The new Impact VXi from Five Ten were developed with the help of downhill legends Sam Hill and Brook Macdonald to create the ultimate mountain shoe for those "foot out junkies". Riding fast downhill may require the rider to stick a leg out to properly balance through a sharp turn to prevent washing out, making clipless shoes and pedals a hassle to deal with. A solid set of pedals and some heavy duty, grippy soled shoes are the ideal setup for many downhill riders, allowing them to balance or anchor themselves when necessary.
The Impact VXi features Five Ten's newly developed STEALTH Mi6 rubber sole for 50% more shock absorption and damping that other competing DH shoes. This means when rolling through those chunky rock gardens, less impact is transferred to your foot. The upper of the shoe has also been revised, shaving off 25% of the weight and adding a quick-dry, hydrophobic construction that'll dry overnight.
- Heavy-Duty Downhill mountain biking shoe meant for flat pedals (not SPD compatible)
- New STEALTH Mi6 rubber sole
- Quick-dry uppper
