Comments about Five Ten Spitfire Shoes:
I had heard the hype about 5 Tens so decided to give these a go. I use platform pedals as I am one of those who has steered away from clipless for off road riding. These shoes and a nice set of pedals are unbelievable. I used to ride in regular running and/or skate shoes and did not understand what I was missing. The rubber on these grips the pedal so well I have to lift up my foot and move it if I put it on the pedal crooked! No Joke! You feel locked in so I can ride with the ball of my foot, or take my foot forward more and use different muscles for different power strokes. The sole looks smooth too but from first hand experience it has enough grip on roots and dirt to safely run your bike up a hill without slipping if you need to stop.
Great shoes with great grip.
