Focus Corrente Tiagra City Bike 2011

Sporting a sleek urban look and a street-wise component set, the Focus Corrente eats asphalt for breakfast! Whether you're looking for an everyday commuter or simply a bike to cruise the path on the weekend, the Corrente has a number of practical appointments that make riding a breeze.

The Corrente is built around a lightweight Focus Speed Trekking SL aluminum frame and fork that is disc brake compatible so you won't need to worry about braking performance in wet weather conditions. The drivetrain is decked out in all things Shimano Tiagra, for a dependable riding experience that won't break the bank and a set of Shimano M445 hydraulic brakes deliver predictable braking power so you can stop at a moment's notice. The Corrente rolls on a stunning set of Concept SL aero rims laced to Shimano R505 disc hubs. Rounding out the wheels is a pair of Schwalbe Speed Cruiser 700x30c tires that are wide enough to help absorb the bumps of the road but still maintain a fast road profile that will keep you speeding along. A Selle Royal Seta saddle and a full complement of Focus branded Concept components round out the cockpit, putting the finishing touches on this impressive city dweller.

Comments about Focus Corrente Tiagra City Bike 2011:

I bought a Corrente Tiagra in early 2011 for general communting. I even did a multi-day tour with rack and panniers without issue. Was a great price and I've been generally happy with it.

Near the end of the 2 year warranty I found a crack in the frame. It took 2 weeks for the warranty claim to be approved plus will take 3 weeks to ship a replacement frame

I asked if I could have a similar frame from current model already in stock, but Focus said NO. I asked if they would let me buy a whole new bike at a good price, but Focus said NO.

So now I am without a bike for one and half months. Worse still, the replacement frame will not come with a new warranty, just the remainder of the original warranty. Now that's a rotten deal in my books.

My next bike will not be a Focus!

Comments about Focus Corrente Tiagra City Bike 2011:

I bought one of these to serve as my "around town" bike, but was quick to notice that this thing can be so much more! With rear fender mounts, comfortable geometry, and reliable components, this bike can be an ideal commuter. If you're feeling adventurous, stick some wider tires on it or some knobbies and you can even ride hardpack trails, or simply leave it as is and cruise the boardwalk. This bad boy can be whatever you want it to be. Not to mention the attractive, vintage, Italian style foam green finish.

Comments about Focus Corrente Tiagra City Bike 2011:

You can't build a better bike for less.

Grouppo, saddle, wheelset are all of high quality. It rides very smooth and Icould not be happier. Originally planned to strip it for parts but it rides soo nice, its my go-to commuter. Added rear rack, full sks fenders (have to get creative on the front), and trekking bar.
