Formula RXO brakes are a combination of RX levers and RO calipers. The RO’s oval caliper pistons combines top brake performance with outstanding modulation. Its incredible brake power has been confirmed with several wins during the 2012 World Cup series. The RX brake lever is lightweight and features reach adjust. This pre- bled brake is ready to be installed onto your bike.

Bought this brake to upgrade my commuter/paved trail bike and I have to say I am very impressed. This brake has phenomenal stopping power, and I have never wanted more. Great adjustablity, good style and good modulation. This brake does make some noise, but coming from the world of automotive racing brakes the warbling noise is minor and easy to live with.

Bites harder than a pitbull and subsequent braking will keep on biting like the first. I have 'The Ones' on my DH specific bike and they are a godsend, I figured since those were so good that I would get another set of Formula's (just different model). These do not disappoint. I have them on my 29HT and are overkill but love them anyways. Formulas come stock with a sensitive lever (reduced pull to bite) and that's how I like them.

The caveat with Formula brakes is; the cost of the fittings, if you need to shorten the hoses. If would have nice for Jensen to include them with purchase, but it wasn't sold that way. It costs 25.00 per hose fitting and that's out of line. Otherwise, it was a great deal on the brakes and they work well.

First - a watch out. The brakes both front and rear are setup for post mount. The rear does not include an IS adapter. The good news is the Avid adapter I already had mated up nicely.
Compared to my Elixir 5's these have tons of power. A bit less modulation, and that takes some getting used to.
Overall really enjoy the new setup. You won't find me making claims that they make you a better rider and inspire confidence....they just work, and work well at that. At the price Jenson has them for they are a terrific deal.
