That glove comes without palm protector, so after a long ride your hands become hot, very uncomfortable. Besides, they fit very well without more or less in the hand. You can use it with your iPhone too, because the fingers activate the screen.

I have been using these for almost a year now and they are finally starting to wear. I ride on average 2 times a week, ranging from long technical rides to short quick loops around the local trail. These gloves have been very comfortable and have protected nicely during several spills and other hair raising incidents. The palms of these glove are super soft at first which is really nice but after about 9 months or so, they began to feel like thin rough leather. In all honesty, they still work perfectly fine, no rips or tears but I miss the overall comfort that I had when they were new and may end up buying a replacement pair soon.

Good looking gloves, but I miss the terrycloth on the thumb to wipe sweat off or your nose... The palms feel a bit cheapo compared to older style too, but maybe it's just a newer, stronger material?

Fox knows how to make gloves, one cool thing that I liked is that the little nubs on the finger work with the touchscreen on an iPhone. I'm ususally taking it out to take pictures and turn on the ride tracking, so its nice not to take gloves off.

Even though you are supposed to be enjoying nature, the phone is my emergency safety device while I ride alone at dusk.

I've had these gloves since I first started mountain biking 4 years ago, and I've only had one pair. These have been put to the test from falling on pavement and dirt to a little yard work and then some harsh airsoft and paintball games. So far nothing has happened except they don't smell so good and are really dirty. Really happy with them.

Over all these gloves are stylish and comfortable. I havent used them enough to really comment on the durability. They are much like any other glove in the price range. The material is a bit thin, which is great for comfort and breathability but maybe be a negative factor when it takes a beating.

I have had 2 pairs of the 2008 models last until this purchase. With hand washing, they can last a very long time. I cant comment on the durability of these yet, but time will tell. Since gloves are a tricky and personal fit, I keep multiple pairs of gloves in rotation to extend their life. Although I wish these still had a terry sweat wipe on the thumb, I picked up a couple more.

I have been using Fox Sidewinder Gloves for years and they have always been my favorite. I have tried gloves from other brands but I always go back to the Sidewinder. They provide very good overall protection without being cumbersome or hot. Just a great glove.

Fox does not make the quality products the used to. I would not recommend this glove if you plan on riding with them for more than two months. I would put the $40 toward a different brand, possibly Dakine.
